Oakland Athletics - Rickey Henderson

During Rickey Henderson's first stint with the Oakland A's, (1979-84) he got to wear some classic uniforms! They wouldn't be "classic" if they weren't pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband, now known as the Ultimate Baseball Look! That is real athletic wear! Please Lew Wolff, have the A's look good again by having them wear real uniforms again! Smokey Bear, then known as "Smokey, the Bear" says "Only Rickey Henderson can prevent forest fires!"

Milwaukee Brewers

Gary Sheffield, Robin Yount, Paul Molitor and Rob Deer in Milwaukee Brewers athletic wear, as well as a 1988 Milwaukee Brewers program featuring illustrations of the Brewers' road and home uniform, pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants, the Ultimate Baseball Look! I'll say this, the Milwaukee Brewers' 1985-89 road uniform was far superior than their 1978-89 home uniform, which other than the color scheme and the classic cap, was quite boring. It's terrible that the Brewers have a fauxback alternate uniform based on their 1978-89 home uniform today. What they should do is wear a pullover jersey with a collar and sleeves that has a blue, gold, blue trim and the underlined cursive script that was on the 1990-93 Brewers home jerseys, like the minor league Beloit Brewers used to. That would be a great Milwaukee Brewers uniform.

Anchorage Bucs & Mulcahy Stadium

Early 1990s, actually 1989-91 Anchorage Bucs uniforms, similar to the greatest Pittsburgh Pirates uniforms. Pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband. The Ultimate Baseball Look! In 1992, for some reason, the Bucs replaced the sansabelt baseball pants with belted pants. Former Texas Longhorns outfielder Calvin Murray who played for the Bucs in 1990 and 1991 went on to play in the Major Leagues with the Giants, Cubs and Rangers. Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage in August 1963. Tiny grandstand. A couple shots from around 1984 of the Anchorage Bucs in some great yellow v-neck pullover jerseys, by coach Chris Bradford, members of the Bucs playing air guitar with the San Diego Chicken at Mulcahy Stadium and at Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks, Alaska.

St. Louis Cardinals - Ozzie Smith

Ozzie Smith in the greatest St. Louis Cardinals uniforms, v-neck pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband! That is the Ultimate Baseball Look! Love to see that Cardinals wordmark logo include a bat that isn't broken! Can you see Ozzie do his patented Opening Day flip routine in anything but a pullover jersey and sansabelt baseball pants? I can't and I know you can't either! The Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform, nothing like it before or since! It's time for another one!

Seattle Mariners - Dave Henderson

Dave Henderson was the best dressed player in Seattle Mariners history! He played with the Mariners from 1981 until he was traded to the Red Sox in 1986! The Seattle Mariners looked their best from 1981-1986, the Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform, with great, dynamic, trident pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband, the Ultimate Baseball Look with a royal blue and gold color scheme! Repeal the teal!

Chattanooga Lookouts - Edgar Martinez

Edgar Martinez with the Chattanooga Lookouts in 1986, a Chattanooga Lookouts v-neck pullover jersey from the Seattle Mariners affiliation era and future Mariners players Greg Briley, Erik Hanson and coach Roger Hansen in 1987. Look at that uniform and jersey, clearly inspired by the Seattle Mariners' 1981-1986 uniform! The Seattle Mariners affiliated Chattanooga Lookouts uniform is certainly in the running for the title of "Best Ever"! Pullover jersey with racing stripes and sansabelt baseball pants with plenty of stripes as well! Just a great look, the Ultimate Baseball Look!
