2014 Seattle Mariners: Turn Back the Clock

On May 24, 2014, the Seattle Mariners hosted the Houston Astros in a Turn Back the Clock game. Both teams wore  uniforms from the 1979 season. Both teams wore v-neck pullover jerseys along with sansabelt baseball pants with striped waistbands. The Mariners introduced the star trident logo in 1979 and it appeared on both the batting helmet as well as a patch on the left sleeve. I am a big critic of Majestic as anyone but I thought they did a decent job for this game. Kudos to the Mariners marketing department as well. The Astros' George Springer and Jose Altuve along with the Mariners' James Jones. The Mariners' Michael Saunders. The Mariners' Robinson Cano. The Mariners' Brandon Maurer and friends. The Mariners' Justin Smoak. Robinson Cano in a "1979" Seattle Mariners uniform on May 24, 2014. Stefen Romero high fives Robinson Cano on May 24, 2014. The Mariners' Robinson Cano on the cover of the July 2014 issue of the Grand Salami magazine wearing a "1979" Seattle Mariners uniform with the star trident helmet! Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks

Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks retro baseball uniform worn recently. Pullover jersey with belted pants that resembled sansabelt baseball pants because they had a striped tunnel belt loop that looked like an elastic waistband. Outstanding effort!
