Oakland A's 1972-74 3-Peat

The Oakland A's became the first modern baseball team to win 3 consecutive World Series titles in 1974. The A's won 5 straight American League West division titles from 1971-75. When the A's switched to real baseball uniforms, pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband, the Ultimate Baseball Look in 1972, they won their first of 3 consecutive World Series championships! Coincidence? No way! The team won their division again in 1975 but lost to the Red Sox in the ALCS and the team was broken up after that season. Here are several pictures from that era, owner Charlie Finley and the 1974 A's including, Rollie Fingers, Joe Rudi, Vida Blue, Gene Tenace, Bert Campaneris, Catfish Hunter, Sal Bando and Reggie Jackson.
