California Angels - Part 2

As mentioned in a previous post, the California Angels franchise looked its best from 1973-88. They wore v-neck pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband and vertical stripes on the sides in a navy blue and red color scheme. Apart from a few subtle changes over the years, like the removal of the white trim on the sleeves in 1979, the California Angels basically wore the same uniform during that span, a uniform that we now refer to as the Ultimate Baseball Look during the Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform! The fans and I'm sure even the players want to see these uniforms brought back, the right way, with the right fit. The Angels franchise just has not looked the same since. Here's Devon White, Don Baylor, Chili Davis, the late Lyman Bostock, Bob Boone, Gary Pettis, Kirk McCaskill and Frank Robinson, yep, he played with the Angels, in the California Angels' greatest uniforms!
