Detroit Tigers

The Detroit Tigers 1972-84 road uniform consisted of a v-neck pullover jersey and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband. Following their 1984 World Series win, they wore button-front shirts and sansabelt pants thru the 1991 season on the road. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Satin Baseball Jackets

In addition to the return of pullover jerseys & sansabelt baseball pants, aka the Ultimate Baseball Look, baseball can be dramatically improved aesthetically if satin baseball jackets returned to ballparks everywhere. The jackets, mostly synonymous with the old Starter brand, have largely disappeared from the game. Bring them back with the rib-knit collars, cuffs and bottom band. Grow the game and bring back timeless satin baseball jackets NOW!!!

Seattle Mariners - USS Mariner

The USS Mariner was a yellow ship (after 1982, it was originally dark blue) located or moored, if you will, behind the center field fence at the Kingdome, that fired a cannon after a Seattle Mariner hit a home run. Its first season was 1982 and the last season the USS Mariner ship was stationed behind the Kingdome's center field fence was 1989. Install the USS Mariner at Safeco Field NOW! As well as a good look at the streamers that used to hang from the Kingdome's ceiling from Opening Night 1985. There were 75 total streamers, 19 red, 37 white and 19 blue. The streamers were removed following the 1987 baseball season.

Seattle Mariners Tugboat

1982 Seattle Mariners bullpen cart/car was designed to look like a tugboat! I don't believe anyone actually rode in it to enter a game at the Kingdome, but what a fun concept. The "Seattle M.S. Relief". The Mariners of the 1980s may have had terrible win/loss records but they embraced a fun nautical theme. Tugboats, ships, the USS Mariner, firing cannons after home runs, marking outfield distances in both feet and fathoms, not to mention great logos and uniforms. The Seattle Mariners of today are so bland and generic they might as well simply be called Seattle "baseball team". Bring back nautical themes to Seattle Mariners games. Make baseball fun again!

Toronto Blue Jays - Dominican Summer League

Toronto Blue Jays Dominican Summer League team circa 1990 or thereabouts. Great baseball uniforms consisting of pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with striped waistbands. Just a great look, the Ultimate Baseball Look. The powder blue uniform is truly one of the best ever.

Seattle Mariners - Danny Kaye

Danny Kaye, one of the Seattle Mariners original owners, during spring training 1977. Trident uniforms, including a powder blue trident road uniform, that for some reason, was never worn during an actual game. Pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants are just the definition of timeless baseball.
