Ohio State Buckeyes v-neck pullover baseball jersey. Tremendous. I will be looking for a shot of the complete uniform and will try to found out when it was worn and why it isn't any longer. College baseball teams need to do a better job on taking action to grow the game.

Arizona State Sun Devils baseball uniforms from the Barry Bonds era to today. Pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with the striped waistband. Again, we'll worry about the fit and the length, hemming of the pants, at a later time. The priority needs to be to have every baseball team, everywhere, at every level, wear pullover jerseys and beltless baseball pants, to truly grow the game.

1972 rendering for a never built domed stadium in Anchorage, Alaska. The stadium would have had an air supported roof, similar to the Pontiac Silverdome, Metrodome, Carrier Dome, Hoosier Dome, Tokyo Dome and the BC Place's original roof. It would have been capable of hosting baseball, football and even ice hockey. Depending on the event, the seating capacity would range from 8,000 to 12,000. For various reasons, the stadium was never built.
Not Ultimate Baseball Look related but, I just saw the Cheers episode Where Have All The Floorboards Gone?, again, Season 10 Episode 8, the second Cheers episode in which Celtics star Kevin McHale appeared as himself. Several scenes filmed at the actual Boston Garden appeared in the episode which was co-written by former Mariners broadcaster Ken Levine. I always found it curious that McHale wears a road Celtics uniform in the episode, not only set in Boston, but in the scenes at Boston Garden, filmed in Boston too. In 1991, the home team almost always wore white.

1980s pullover jerseys & sansabelt baseball pants from the Baltimore Orioles' affiliate the Rochester Red Wings. Amazing looks, very underrated in the all-time rankings. Grow the game, guys. Bring this Ultimate Baseball Look back to the ballpark, NOW!!!

Hank Aaron played the final 2 seasons of his career, 1975 & 1976, back in Milwaukee, but this time, with the Brewers. The uniforms were pretty basic, this was before the "MB" glove logo came about. Pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants, including a powder blue road uniform, were worn. The Ultimate Baseball Look is hard to give up.
The Boston Red Sox abandoned outdated, nonsensical flannel uniforms during the 1972 season. They began wearing athletic wear, pullover jerseys and beltless, "sansabelt" baseball pants that season. Red Sox Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski modeled a prototype uniform and stood next to Tommy Harper to demonstrate the differences in a modern baseball uniform and one that belonged in the 19th century. In my opinion, Yastrzemski's prototype Red Sox uniform is far superior to the one they eventually wore through the 1978 season. The prototype had nice trim along the sleeves, the stripes on the elastic waistband were different and there was stripes along the side of the pants too. A real Boston Red Sox Ultimate Baseball Look that never was unfortunately. I just wish there was a color version of this photograph.
On St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1978, the Cincinnati Reds became the first sports team and obviously the first baseball team to wear special St. Patrick's Day uniforms in an exhibition game versus the New York Yankees. For a game, the Big Red Machine became the Big Green Machine. V-neck pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with the striped waistband and green trim! A very special Ultimate Baseball Look! The fans, players and media just prefer baseball that features the teams wearing real athletic wear again!

1975 Sacramento Solons pullover jerseys & shorts. In a practical world, the typical baseball uniform would probably resemble a soccer kit. It's just that people have been conditioned to think a certain way for generations. A warm weather summer sport like baseball, why not pullover jerseys and shorts? In reality, the only dirt on a baseball field would be the mound and the home plate area. The infield could be grass or synthetic turf. Again, change can be hard for people to accept.

Just some more examples on how the fans prefer pullover jerseys over anything else in the world and that they gravitate to players wearing pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with the striped elastic waistband. You don't see scenes like this today because baseball inexplicably continues to outfit their participants in button-front shirts and belted pants. Roberto Clemente, Johnny Bench, George Brett, Barry Bonds and even Gaylord Perry become fan magnets when wearing the Ultimate Baseball Look. Rob Manfred, if you want to have today's Major League Baseball players be relatable to today's fans, mandate that every team wear pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with the striped or solid elastic waistband. Grow the game.

1983 Chevrolet Camaro with a retro Seattle Mariners star trident paint job. This is the type of thing that would make a great giveaway at a Mariners game. Contact messirs Kevin Martinez and Gregg Greene to make it happen. As I write this, this vehicle is being sold on eBay with a starting bid of $2,000! The fans want the old colors and logos back with a vengeance!

This v-neck pullover jersey may or may not be a retro Cape Cod League Harwich Mariners item, nothing's been confirmed, all I know it has the same trident wordmark as the 1981-86 Seattle Mariners trident uniforms. The Seattle Mariners can wear this jersey for the patriotic holidays MLB shoves down the consumers' throats. At the very least, they can wear it during their "Gonzaga Night" games. The fans want the trident and they want pullover jerseys.
