The Colorado Rockies, established in conservative, dull 1993, have never looked interesting or worn real baseball uniforms in their entire existence. The minor league Denver Bears however, had some cool uniforms in their history. Denver Bears home and road v-neck pullover jerseys from the Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform.

In 1972, the Houston Astros debuted their first double knit uniforms. Zipper-front jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with an elasticized striped waistband. They wore this style for 3 seasons, 1972, 1973 and 1974. Should the Houston Astros bring their "shooting star" look back, I wouldn't protest, but, of course, the zipper-front jerseys would definitely need to be replaced with v-neck pullover jerseys to truly be worthy enough to be called the Ultimate Baseball Look.
In 2017, the Seattle Mariners are celebrating their 40th anniversary season and to commemorate the occasion, they are having former players throw out the ceremonial first pitch, throughout the season. So far, former pitchers Mark Langston and Gaylord Perry as well as former outfielder Tom Paciorek have done the honors, all while wearing the Mariners greatest jersey, the 1981-86 home trident v-neck pullover. Former Mariners lefthander Floyd Bannister represented the previous trident era. There's no question the fans want the Mariners to bring it back full-time while saying goodbye to the navy, silver and teal compass rose era forever. Repeal the teal!

Powder blue Seattle Mariners trident v-neck pullover jersey by Ebbets Field Flannels. A couple reasons why this interests me, one, it's a style the Seattle Mariners never wore. It's not even a reproduction of the powder blue jersey that was seen during the Mariners' first spring training in 1977. Second, it was made by Ebbets Field Flannels. Even though they supplied uniforms for a 1997 Turn Back the Clock game between the Royals and Mariners that were supposed to be from 1977, Ebbets Field Flannels isn't associated with the double-knit polyester era. They mainly focus on replica flannel jerseys from the 1930s to the 1960s. A Seattle Mariners fauxback jersey, if you will, not a throwback.

In 1989, the 6'1" Ryne Sandberg's Chicago Cubs uniform consisted of a size 42 v-neck pullover jersey and sansabelt baseball pants with an elasticized waistband that had a 32 waist and a 27.5" inseam. The Ultimate Baseball Look during the Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform. 1989 was the last season the Chicago Cubs wore real baseball uniforms.

Powder blue Under Armour uniform for Top Tier Baseball. Pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with a striped elasticized waistband. Well, the pullover jerseys are too loose on the players and the players are wearing pants of varying lengths. A uniform should be uniform. Eliminate both the dorky "high-cuffed" pants and the long and baggy "pajama pants" from the game of baseball.
MLB rule Rule 1.11(a)(1): All players on a team shall wear uniforms identical in color, trim and style, and all players uniforms shall include minimal six-inch numbers on their backs, not only needs to be enforced in Major League Baseball but at all levels.
I interpret "trim and style" to mean pants worn the same length. Grow the game baseball, and make the Ultimate Baseball Look happen the right way, right now.
The 1976 Cincinnati Reds during the World Series introductions at Yankee Stadium. Their uniforms were uniform, an ideal goal for every team today. All the players wore pants the same length along with low cut stirrups.

Powder blue or to some, "baby blue" v-neck pullover jerseys the Buffalo Bisons will wear May 20 and 21, 2017 for Blue Jays Weekend. Plus, a pair of proper powder blue baseball pants with a striped elasticised waistband. The people know this combination today, as the Ultimate Baseball Look. We know there is no rational reason for baseball teams to continue to wear outdated and archaic button-front jerseys and baseball pants with belts.
