The Tucson Toros, from 1985 thru 1988, while the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, wore uniforms based on the Astros Sunday alternate uniform that was introduced in 1982 and in 1987, became the primary uniform when the infamous/famous rainbow "tequila sunrise" uniforms were phased out. V-neck pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants, real athletic wear. The Astros too, wore this uniform style, a toned down, rainbow racing stripes look, thru the 1988 season. Regrettably the Astros wore a button-up shirt and belted pants version from 1989-93. Alumni for the Tucson Toros during the 1985-88 era included future Hall of Famer Craig Biggio and the late Ken Caminiti.
