2013 National League MVP Andrew McCutchen in various throwback Pittsburgh Pirates baseball uniforms, all featuring pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants. The Pirates may have traded McCutchen to the San Francisco Giants, but let's hope they have retained the Ultimate Baseball Look for all eternity.

As mentioned in the previous post about a customized Montreal Expos home white v-neck pullover jersey, the people are clamoring for baseball to make things right. Give Montreal the Expos back and not only that, make the team look good. The 1980-1991 Expos were so close to achieving the Ultimate Baseball Look, but subsequently went in a different direction.
We can keep the unique "MEB" logo. Bring back satin jackets, BP quarter zip pullovers and BP pullover jerseys as well as the blue 1992-2004 Expos cap. The clownish tri-color Expos cap can remain a memory. Make things right.

A custom made Montreal Expos v-neck pullover jersey based on their uniforms from 1980 thru 1991. The patented racing stripes look that has never gone out of style! The fans have acknowledged how the Montreal Expos franchise never wore real baseball uniforms throughout their existence. To my knowledge, they were the only expansion franchise, excluding the 1990s teams, to not wear pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants during games. The fan base suffered a great deal because of this. If and when Montreal ever gets the Expos back, one sign you'll know they have good owners is if the team has real uniforms for the first time. The Ultimate Baseball Look should be synonymous with the Expos and hopefully one day, it will!
Edit: Well, apparently the Expos did wear v-neck pullover jerseys with racing stripes, at least once, probably during spring training as evidenced by Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd.
The Chicago Cubs' Ron Santo, one of the most popular players in that franchise's history, final 2 years with the team, 1972 & 1973, were the first 2 seasons the Cubs wore real baseball uniforms, pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants, in this case, with a solid blue waistband, a combination we now know as the Ultimate Baseball Look. 1972, was also notable for the Cubs, because their road uniform that one year, had the number in the middle, centered on the front of the jersey. The next season, 1973, the number was moved to the more familiar lower left location.

The Kent State baseball team unveiled new uniforms for the 2018 season. Powder blue or "baby blue" as they called it, v-neck pullover jerseys and powder blue sansabelt baseball pants with a striped waistband made by Rawlings. The people were overcome with immeasurable joy back in 2014 when the Kent State Golden Flashes debuted their v-neck pullover jerseys with pinstripes and racing stripes and now this. All they have to do is not have the players bunch up their pants.

In 2010, Milwaukee Brewers affiliate the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers special uniform theme that season was "Brewers Sunday". They wore powder blue v-neck pullover jerseys inspired by the powder blue pullover jerseys the Brewers wore from 1978 thru the 1984 season, most famously in 1982 when the Brewers won the American League pennant.
Robin Ventura wearing a powder blue 1982 Milwaukee Brewers uniform that was originally intended for Brewers Hall of Famer Robin Yount during the 2002 MLB All-Star festivities at Miller Park in Milwaukee. Pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with striped waistbands are so popular, players from different teams are wearing other player's uniforms. The power, the appeal of what we know as the Ultimate Baseball Look!
The Clinton Giants, former Single-A affiliate from the Midwest League of the San Francisco Giants, wore it appears, gray versions of the San Francisco Giants 1977-82 uniforms. V-neck pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with striped waistbands. The following pics are from the 1983 season, I believe.
Is there such a thing as the Ultimate Softball Look? Well, if there is, the University of Texas at Arlington's softball team would be a good example of it. The Mavericks' softball uniforms resemble the greatest uniforms of the New York Mets, pullover jerseys with pinstripes and racing stripes. Unlike the New York Mets however, the Texas-Arlington softball team has the good sense on wearing sansabelt pants with striped waistbands. For that reason, these uniforms are superior to the 1986 Mets! Good job Texas-Arlington softball.

Guitarists Carl Wilson wearing a Giants cap and Al Jardine wearing an orange San Francisco Giants pullover jersey and Dennis Wilson on drums wearing a white San Francisco Giants pullover jersey.

The Notre Dame College Prep baseball team in Niles, Illinois, has green v-neck pullover jerseys with racing stripes made by Under Armour. Under Armour takes over as MLB's uniform supplier in 2019. Can you imagine how overjoyed people would be if they brought back not only pullover jerseys to baseball, but pullover jerseys with racing stripes too? That would be incredible. The people are rooting for good things to finally happen.
